
2004 Call for Nominations
The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) recently issued the 2004 Call for Nominations for awards. Up to fifteen medals and scrolls are to be awarded, some of them with cash prizes.
Through these medals and awards the Royal Society of Canada aims to recognize outstanding achievement in a variety of disciplines including Science and Technology, the Social Sciences and the Humanities.
Eligibility and Nominations
Canadian citizens and persons who have had residency status for at least five years preceding the date for the award may qualify.
Nominations must come from three candidates or sponsors who are responsible for preparing the final submission. These can include supporting documentation from other experts or scholars.
The deadline for nominations is Monday, December 1, 2003.
About the Royal Society of Canada
Royal Society of Canada, The Canadian Academy of the Sciences and Humanities, is the senior national body of distinguished Canadian scientists and scholars.
Its primary objective is to promote learning and research in the natural and social sciences and in the humanities. The Society consists of approximately 1800 Fellows: men and women from across the country who are selected by their peers for outstanding contributions to the arts and sciences.
