Promoting Volunteerism: From Classroom to Community
Looking for Volunteer Opportunities? Check enVision.ca's Volunteer Opportunities Board.
The Volunteer Centre, Community Services Council of Newfoundland and Labrador has developed a classroom-friendly information package designed to promote the importance of volunteers and volunteerism among K-12 students. The package, which has been sent to every school in the province, includes posters highlighting the important and diverse contributions made by volunteers in this province, as well as information and suggested activities to encourage classroom discussion.
