The Single Parent Association of Newfoundland was founded in 1987. Our objective is to provide supports for single parents, enabling them to regain control over their lives for the empowerment of themselves and their children.

We recognize the ever increasing demands and pressures on this family unit. Through a number of practical programs and services, delivered with kindness, SPAN offers single parents and their families support and connectedness.

UPDATE on SPAN's Food Bank

CFCC has provided SPAN with an additional $20,000 in grocery gift cards which will be used to purchase food for our food bank. What a tremendous help this will be for the food hampers provided to single parent families.
SPAN is both thankful and honored to receive this level of support.

Fantastic News for SPAN'S Food Bank.

We're grateful to the Government of Canada and @aplaceforfood for providing essential funding to help us offer emergency food relief in our community. Thanks to @Justin Trudeau @Marie-Claude Bibeau and @AAFC - Human Rights For Everyone.

This funding will enable SPAN to provide essential food items in the hampers that we provide to single parent families in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
